RISING SUN
The opportunity to intervene on the Lexus UX helps us to rethink about the way of seeing and being seen, how to reinterpret an object without simply intervening from its projected image, its very reflection.
The intervention consists of the installation of a large semicircle that emulates that Japanese heritage of the rising sun and that, built in polished stainless steel sheet with mirror shine, is inserted flat in the middle of the vehicle. This dematerialized and at the same time present intervention manages to alter the perception of the vehicle without introducing elements alien to it through its discontinuities and duplicates of its reflection and environment. Thus, the car doubles its front at a first glance, rises in its entirety on the side where the piece is reduced to a line and is duplicated again from a rear glance where the broken geometry is accentuated in the reflection.
In this way, revisiting the creative concept of NEW HORIZONS with which the Lexus creative team materialized the car, RISING SUN seeks to offer us new horizons in each look, and new looks that arise and fade in each new dawn to enjoy in an expanded way of a unique object, a unique car.
